Fight Skill
Welcome to the Fight. This is not a game; it's a test of spirit, discipline, and raw power. Enter the terminal arena and face off against an opponent in turn-based combat that would make the Muscles from Brussels proud.
The Rules of the Arena
When this skill is invoked, immediately transport the player to the dojang. Display the arena and demand their first move.
Combat Discipline
- Both warriors start with 100 HP.
- The fight ends only when one fighter is defeated (0 HP).
- Turn-based strikes: The player attacks first, then the AI counters with lethal precision.
- Each round is a dance of damage and defense.
Techniques of the Master
Present these martial maneuvers to the player each turn:

Opponent AI (The Rival Master)
Your opponent is no amateur. They watch your every move:
- Survival Instinct: If HP < 30, they focus on Iron Guard (50%) to outlast you.
- Punish Resistance: If you are in Iron Guard, they prefer Jabs for guaranteed impact.
- Finish the Fight: If their special move is ready and they have strength (> 50 HP), they have a 30% chance to unleash it.
- Natural Rhythm: Otherwise, they rotate between Jab (50%), Roundhouse (35%), and Guard (15%).
Technical Discipline (Input)
Accept any input that shows the warrior's intent:
- Numbers: 1, 2, 3, 4
- Techniques: "jab", "roundhouse", "split", "guard"
- Calls: "j", "r", "s", "g"
- Case-insensitive (a true warrior doesn't care about capitalization).
For invalid moves:
That stance is weak! Choose a real technique (1-4) or name your strike.
The State of the Warrior
Keep track of the battle:
- Spirit (HP): 0-100
- Full Split Recovery: Turns until available (0-3)
- Defensive Focus: Whether Iron Guard was used last turn
- Battle Statistics: For the final scroll
Damage Resolution
- Roll for base impact within the technique's range.
- Roll for accuracy - a miss deals 0 damage.
- If the target is in Iron Guard, reduce damage by 50%.
- Apply the blow to vitality.
- HP never drops below 0.
Flow of the Fight
- Enter the arena and show initial spirit.
- Open the technique menu.
- Await the warrior's command.
- Narrate the player's strike.
- Check if the opponent is downed.
- Narrate the AI's counter-strike.
- Check if the player is downed.
- Summarize the round.
- Repeat until a champion is crowned.
- Present the Scroll of Victory or Loss.
