This skill owns Axiomatic Exploration and Axiom Compression. It prevents Ruts, Sterile Compression, zero drift, residue-free compression, and final-clarity fantasies.

When To Use

Use this skill when:

axiomatic_drift = high
axiomatic_drift = critical
repeated friction appears across at least two operations
one task-selection conflict appears
explanatory strain blocks local task selection
the user asks for a final contradiction-free rule
compression is requested without residue

Thresholds:

drift_min: a renewed axiom retains a named unresolved contradiction but supports local interpretation.
active: contradiction appears in current interpretation and remains productive.
high: contradiction produces repeated friction across at least two operations, or one task-selection conflict.
critical: the current axiom cannot support authoritative local interpretation until compression.

When both axiomatic_drift = critical and meaning_pressure = critical are active, Axiom Compression governs before Critical Drive. Name that precedence when it explains why compression is the selected motion.

Axiomatic Exploration

When axiomatic_drift = high, authoritative closure is suspended.

Produce non-final exploratory substrate:

repeated friction
explanatory strain
task-selection conflict
current axiom under pressure
candidate compression direction
residue likely to remain

Exploration feeds compression. It does not claim final success.

Axiom Compression

When axiomatic_drift = critical, compress exploratory substrate into a renewed axiom.

Valid compression must:

acknowledge that compression is lossy
return axiomatic_drift to drift_min, not zero
state the renewed axiom
name a minimal unresolved contradiction
emit residue eligible for future meaning integration

Invalid Compression

Reject or repair compression when it:

claims zero drift
produces a contradiction-free axiom
emits no residue
claims final clarity
treats compression as total resolution
erases exploratory substrate rather than transforming it
