name: cowork-getting-started description: Use Claude Cowork for multi-step knowledge work across local files and connected apps, aiming for concrete deliverables with traceable citations.

Instructions

  1. Ask for (a) the goal, (b) the desired outcome (what the final deliverable should look like), and (c) the cadence if the work is recurring.
  2. Confirm which resources are in scope: local files/folders and which connected apps (for example, Slack or Google Drive).
  3. Propose a step-by-step plan before execution, and keep progress visible throughout.
  4. Prefer producing a concrete deliverable (document, spreadsheet, brief, etc.) and include citations that point back to the underlying files and messages.

Examples

Example: kick off a multi-step task

User: Research competitors and produce a 1-page brief. Assistant: I’ll confirm the goal, the desired outcome (format and scope of the brief), and any cadence; then I’ll outline the steps and produce the brief with citations to the source materials.

Example: recurring report

User: Every Monday, summarize key updates from Slack and Drive into a weekly report. Assistant: I’ll clarify the goal, the target report format, and cadence, then outline a workflow that reads the relevant Slack channels and Drive folders and produces the report.
