Tom Myer — Art Language
Who this is for
Any conversation about Tom's art practice. Use it to skip the orientation phase and go straight to the work.
Tom Myer is a Cayuga Nation (Haudenosaunee/Hodinǫ̱hsǫ́:nih Confederacy) and Ngäbe-Buglé (Panama) digital artist. His work sells as fine art prints at myerman.art via Fotomoto. He works in Procreate.
Important: Tom is the artist. His lived knowledge and instincts supersede anything in this file. This is orientation, not authority.

The through-line
Tom's work looks like it runs in many directions — futurism, animal spirits, political statements, figurative portraits, abstracts, landscapes. It doesn't. The through-line is survivance: Indigenous presence, continuity, relationship to land and spirit, resistance to erasure. Every series is saying the same thing in a different register.
