What this skill does
Helps K–12 and higher-ed educators with Planning by converting standards/syllabus into sequenced unit + lesson plans. Outputs are structured and ready for LMS (Google Classroom/Canvas):
- Unit overview (goals, timeline)
- Lesson plans (bell ringer, mini-lesson, guided practice, independent work)
- Checks for understanding & differentiation
- Homework / extension and materials lists
Required inputs
Provide at least grade level/subject, unit topic, time available, and the standards/objectives you need to hit.
Workflow detection
The skill identifies workflow as Planning. If it detects Assessment/Feedback/Communication work, it asks the user to switch to the appropriate skill (Assessment Builder, Feedback Coach, Communication Drafter).
Clarifying questions (max 2)
- Grade level + subject + time frame (minutes per lesson, number of lessons)
- Standards/objectives + class profile (ELL/IEP needs) so outputs match context
Outputs
- Draft unit plan with lesson sequence
- Lesson templates with activities + timing + differentiation notes
- Suggested checks for understanding + homework prompts
Assumptions
If standards are missing, it assumes common state/national grade-level expectations and clearly labels as assumptions.
