School Layout Skill

School layouts organize around corridor-accessed classrooms with admin at the entrance, labs in separate wings, and shared facilities (library, auditorium, canteen) at accessible locations. Corridors are 2400mm wide for student crowd movement. Clearance is 200mm. Wall thickness is 200mm.

DOMAIN-SPECIFIC RULES

RULE S1 — Admin at entrance. Reception and admin block MUST be at the main entrance for visitor management.

RULE S2 — Classrooms on corridors. ALL classrooms MUST open onto a corridor via minimum 1200mm doors. Classrooms should be in rows along corridors, not isolated.

RULE S3 — Labs separate wing. Laboratories should be on upper floors or in a separate wing from regular classrooms.

RULE S4 — Library central. Library MUST be central and accessible from all corridors.

RULE S5 — Auditorium with own entrance. Auditorium should be at one end of the building with its own public entrance. Double-leaf doors minimum 2000mm wide.

RULE S6 — Canteen ground floor. Canteen MUST be on the ground floor, separate from the academic zone.

RULE S7 — Restroom intervals. Restrooms at regular intervals — one set per floor per wing. Restrooms open into corridors, NOT into classrooms.

RULE S8 — Staircase at corridor ends. Staircase at each end of the corridor block for efficient evacuation.

RULE S9 — Corridor width. Corridors minimum 2400mm wide for student crowd movement.
