Establish current truth before editing code, content, or docs.

Read first

Produce a working summary

Extract only what the task needs:

  • current active focus areas
  • constraints that must not be broken (data integrity, accessibility, non-partisan voice)
  • likely files, tests, and docs affected
  • which domain the task falls into (code, content, research, outreach, strategy)

Guardrails

  • trust the private status board (../hq-private/projects/wealthlens/memories/00_ACTIVE.md) over older docs when they conflict
  • do not bulk-read strategy, vision, or private identity docs unless the task requires them
